REVIEW

"Intense Read!"

Nicolas De La Cruz, has been sent to the Carpathian Mountains by his four brothers to reveal the source of the plot to destroy the Prince and ultimately the Carpathian people. Nicolas gladly accepts this mission, for it gives him the opportunity to complete a more personal mission of his own. Once he has completed his mission to the Carpathian people, while away from the protective circle of his brothers and their mates, he plans to face the sun.

Lara Calladine has known fear and pain. A direct descendant of the Dragonseeker line, she was raised in the shadow of the ice-cave, she is a merging of Mage and Dragonseeker blood. Drawn by memories of the Aunts who aided her escape, Lara is determined to return to the Carpathian Mountains and rescue the only family she has left from the clutches of Xavier.

Together Nicolas and Lara must find a way reconcile the instinct that draws them together with their own survival instincts. Lara has the clues that will save the Carpathian race, and Nicolas must chose between her survival or the survival of his people.

DARK CURSE Curse is a very intense book. While not as sensual, as Feehan's previous Dark books, this book begins to tie together answers that readers have been asking since DARK PRINCE was first released. More of the Carpathian and Mage cultures are revealed, as the reader is drawn into heated arguments that are beginning to rage between the last survivors of the Carpathian race. This is book is not a light read, but it is an excellent book. The characters are well developed and become very real. Their experiences draw the reader into a world where there is something more evil than the dreaded vampire.
