REVIEW

"Wow! What a story!"

Alex Garrison comes from a long line of stubborn men who know what they want and will do whatever it takes to get it. Alex wants McKinley Inns so he proposes a business marriage to Katie McKinley. Katie's older sister Emma finds out and is furious. Who is this Alex Garrison anyway? So what if McKinley is up to their eyeballs in debt. Emma will figure a way out of this mess, a way that doesn't involve her pretty younger sister.

Alex decides that it really doesn't matter which McKinley sister he marries as long as he gets 50% of the McKinley properties so he makes the same proposal to Emma. Emma cannot believe it but when she thinks it over she agrees to Alex's proposal.

What Alex and Emma don't expect is to discover an attraction for each other. After all Alex is an egotistical billionaire and Emma isn't exactly the most beautiful woman in the world, far from it. In fact she believes she is as plain as dirt. The more time Alex spends with Emma the more she grows on him and that can't be a good thing, can it?

What Emma doesn't know is Alex is keeping a few secrets from Emma, secrets that could potentially destroy their tentative relationship forever.

When I received this book for review, I thought I would just read the first chapter to see how I would like it. Several hours later, I had not only read the first chapter but had greedily devoured the entire book. I thoroughly enjoyed Emma and Alex's story; so what if the dishes didn't get done and the laundry is still in the dryer. This was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. I look forward to reading more books from Barbara Dunlop.
