Watchers in the Night

REVIEW

"The second in the series!"

Jules Gerard is a Guardian who vows to go after Killers and make them pay. When he finds out that his maker is living in Baltimore, he vows to do everything in his power to kill him for what he did to Jules. When Eli, the leader of the Guardians finds out that Jules has gone to Baltimore, Eli knows there is much more at stake than Jules will ever know. He sends Drake, a Killer who works for the Guardians, after Jules.

Carolyn Mathers works for the Guardians now and she sends her best friend Hannah Moore after Jules to keep him safe. He is just too important to the Guardians to do something so stupid as to get himself killed by his maker who is much stronger than he is. Hannah is reluctant but finally agrees to look after Jules.

Hannah doesn't have much money so when she finally catches up to Jules, she talks him into letting her stay with him. She doesn't figure on becoming attracted to Jules even though he is a specimen vampire. After all Hannah is new to this whole concept of vampires really existing. Besides she can fight attraction, can't she?

Jules and Hannah don't have any idea how much trouble they can get into in another vampire's territory. They also have no idea how strong Camille and her son Gabriel, the vampires who run Baltimore are. What have they gotten themselves into?

As good as I thought Jenna Black's first book Watchers in the Night, was, this one was just amazing. I couldn't read it fast enough. The action was non-stop and while I don't want to give any spoilers away, the ending just left me wanting more to the story! This is another one I highly recommend.
