REVIEW

"The third book to the Lone Star Country Club series but totally stands alone!"

Hart O'Brien has come back to Mission Creek, Texas. He's not sure how he feels about that but his best friend, Spence Harrison, now the District Attorney has asked that he check out a bomb blast at the Lone Star Country Club. Since Hart is one of the leading experts on explosive devices, he agrees. He just can't get it out of his mind that he left in disgrace when he was accused of stealing money from the gift shop. He also can't get Joan Cooper out of his mind even after ten years.

As Hart waits for the general manager to welcome him, he hears a familiar voice, one he hasn't heard in ten years. He simply cannot believe that it's Joan, still there. He'd heard that she'd married a prominent Dallas attorney right after he left town. She's forgotten about him before the dust had even settled.

What Hart doesn't know is that Joan has a big secret. It concerns Hart and her daughter, Helena. What will Hart do if he finds out about Helena? In the meantime, Hart has to figure out this mystery of the bomb blast but thoughts of Joan keep interfering with his job. Then when he meets Helena, Joan's daughter, he's thoroughly captivated by this young girl who insists on being his friend.

I am happy to say that I have all of Maggie Price's books in my huge mountain of books to be read. I'm sorry to say that I haven't read any of them yet but after reading this one, I'm hooked and will do my best to make time to read her other books! This book was Book Three of the Lone Star Country Club series but it totally stood alone. The action and adventure never let up from first page to last!
