Abandoned, in jeopardy and pregnant, can Meg trust the secret agent sent to protect her?

Summary

In THE AGENT, Meg's husband leaves one summer afternoon to give a lecture on biotechnology at the renowned Given Institute in Aspen. He never returns home.

What Meg doesn't know is that Howie disappeared for very good reason. It takes government agent Mark Fielder to discover why: her husband is selling bio-terrorism secrets to the highest bidder; he has failed to keep his end of the bargain and is running for his life.

Mark is ordered to keep an eye on Meg, and soon he finds himself becoming more interested in her than his job requires. She's alone, she's in jeopardy, she's pregnant, and he can't help but wonder just how much she loves her husband.
