Mandy is tired from working as an attorney at a prestigious law firm in Florida and just wants to get home to her daughter and her mother. She pulls out of the parking garage and is tailgated by a jerk in a silver truck. When they get to the bridge, he rams her and she loses control of the car because of the rain slicked road. Her car goes over the bridge but luckily she doesn't panic and is able to escape. So now the mystery is who could have done this and why?

Then Mandy and her co-workers find out that they've won the big Powerball lottery. Could this have been the motive? But who knew that it was Mandy's turn to buy the ticket? When Mandy and her best friend and co-worker Dana have a meeting on the west coast, Dana tries to get in touch with her brother, Zack. Zack is with the DEA but sometimes between undercover jobs, he works as a body guard. He was Mandy's bodyguard once before when she was threatened by the husband of a client in a divorce case gone ugly. Things heated up between Mandy and Zack but they both knew nothing could come of it because Zack had already had one failed marriage behind him due to his job.

When Mandy and Dana are attacked at the airport parking garage and their purses are stolen, they believe it just confirms the fact that the lottery ticket is the reason for the attack. Still they need to be careful especially when one of their other co-workers is murdered. Things suddenly go from bad to worse. Now they just need to figure out who is next and when it will happen. Piece of cake, right?

Oh my goodness, I thought my eyes would spontaneously combust they were moving so quickly over these pages. I was on the edge of my seat through most of this book and every little interruption just made me irritable! Don't you just love books like that? This one is highly recommended!
