Teresa Hill has a way of wringing every bit of emotion out of you that she possibly can. This book is no exception. It kept me glued to my seat from first page to last. Emma McRae has had a difficult life. That is until Sam and Rachel McRae Read more...

Summary

The last thing Rye expected when he came to the postcard- perfect town of Baxter, Ohio, was to find himself falling for a woman. It certainly wasn't what he'd been seeking when he showed up on the doorstep of her family's quaint Victorian home.

But there she was, the kind of woman he'd never dreamed he could have. Kind-hearted and too trusting for her own good, Emma McRae's in trouble - the kind she shouldn't be trying to handle on her own.

The last thing Rye needs is more trouble in his life, but he can't quite resist her.

Emma has more than just trouble at the moment. She has secrets of her own, and Rye's certainly not going to like hers, once they come out.

But what's a woman to do when she senses that she has one, brief chance to get it right? When she's falling in love too fast with a man who's made it clear he doesn't plan to stay for long?

She opens up her heart and her arms, and hopes her love will be enough to make him stay with her forever.
