REVIEW

"An excellent start to a new series!"

Dana Marton's SDDU intrigues have fascinated me from the very first book but this one is quite different. It has taken quite a turn in that they go to prison and pick four women who were the best of the best at what they did until they got caught for a highly dangerous game that may or may not play out.

The first book is about Carly Jones, a hacker who actually hacked into the CIA computers just for fun until she got caught and had to serve time. Now, she has been given a reprieve but only if she does this one job first. It's a win/win situation for her or is it?

She is given over to Nick Tarasov for training to get ready for this job. She and three other ladies are going to Cayman Islands and open up a questionable shop in order to bring a killer down or so they hope.

Carly is good at what she does but maybe a little too good when she finds that someone has targeted her and now is trying to kill her. It's up to her and Nick to try to figure out just who is trying to kill her and why. Meanwhile she and Nick are also fighting a huge attraction to each other while trying to get the job done.

I read this book like lightening and eagerly look forward to the next book in the series. Whose story will be next? Will it be Anita Caballo who was arrested for embezzlement; Samantha Hanley who is in jail for grand theft auto or Gina Maria Torno who is serving time for manslaughter. I can't wait to see which one it will be.

Summary

Agent Nick Tarasov had been tasked with mentoring and protecting newly recruited Carly Jones. Past assignments had proven he was up to the challenge...but Carly was more than he'd bargained for. The beautiful blonde with the secretive past had agreed to this mission with nothing left to lose: track down an international criminal before more people died. But partnering up and spending long nights together was turning their professional relationship much too personal. And when Carly's life was threatened, Nick knew keeping the two separate was vital- for more reasons than he was willing to admit....
