"An excellent debut book!"
Cecelia Burns finally has it all. She has become a
successful cardiologist and is engaged to a successful
business man, Jack. Then her sister Amy, the gypsy and
scam artist, crashes her engagement party and announces to
the whole room that she can tell anyone who their one true
love is. Cecelia is not only mortified but she's
furious. How can she get rid of Amy once and for all? Amy is down on her luck and Cecelia is the only one she
can turn to. Plus she just has to tell her that her one
true love is dying because his name is fading from her
mind. Cecelia made Amy promise years ago that she'd never
divulge who her true love was but now Amy is desperate. Amy blurts to Cecelia that her true love is Finn Concord
and he is in town now working. She should go find him and
tell him that he's dying so he can get checked out.
Cecelia doesn't know what to do. She knows she doesn't
love Jack with all her heart but she knows she will be
comfortable with him and they will have a very successful
life together. Still, it wears on her mind when Amy tells
her. What should she do? Cecelia decides to try to find Finn and just give him a
letter explaining that she is a stranger but she has
reason to believe that he may be on the verge of dying.
She feels very silly doing it but what else can she do.
She doesn't count on Finn being so gorgeous or having such
an adorable little girl. Oh the complications that she
does not need right now..... I really enjoyed this book. I had my doubts about Amy but
Cecelia was a strong heroine and she did her best not to
let Amy talk her into anything. I look forward to reading
more books from Diana Holquist!
