"Excellent, excellent read!!"

I am quite the fan of Susan Kearney's books. She has the most intriguing aliens and the most unprecedented heroines, just my kind of read!

This book tells us the story of Shara Weston. Shara had it all, fame, fortune, a husband who loved her and in the blink of an eye her husband is gone by her own hand in a horrid freak accident and she crawls into a bottle wanting to die. Finally she decides to buy an island and live by herself for a while. One beautiful day while in her boat, she sees a man fall into the ocean. She, of course, goes to retrieve his body because there's no way he can still be alive but lo and behold he is.

He tells Shara he is Cade Archer and has a very strange story to tell about a foreign planet where his people are slaves and all he needs is a huge supply of salt and a portal and he can save his planet but at what cost to his people and to Earth. That's what he and Shara have to find out and quickly too. Can they do it especially when they find out that Cade's oldest brother is already on Earth waiting for him and things don't look good at all.

Whew, this was one wild ride of a book. I simply could not put it down. There's action and adventure and the twists and turns in this story were incredible! Excellent, excellent story! I highly recommend this one!
