REVIEW

"Fast paced funny and fun read!"

Cairo McKnight has a secret...one that has to be shared and very soon...with her ex-husband Duncan Kincaid even though Cario isn't sure she wants to see him again. When Cairo sets off for the mountains of Montana to find her adventure loving ex whom she'd been married to for all of one day, and one night, she sets in motion the adventure of a lifetime!!!

When Cairo finds Duncan, he finds her...hanging from a rope in a tunnel...stuck... and he must rescue her, again. Something he'd done many times over the years. Once Cairo partially explains her mission to find him, he emphatically gives her a resounding NO to her offer of a job leading a tour to Belize, in South America. Once the conversation gets around to the past , sparks fly and not just in words... Cairo knows she's not forgotten or gotten over the love she has had for Duncan for years. Her main objective is to unite him with the son he knows nothing about, a very active and very smart 4 year old. But Duncan's attitude toward children isn't what she wants to hear and causes Cairo to put off telling Duncan that he's a father.

Duncan Kincaid has spent the past 5 years on one expedition or another trying to forget the one woman who could make his blood boil! His closest companion lately has been an old ghost who talks to him on a regular basis while trying to find the City of Gold. Seeing Cairo again only rekindles the flame and he tries very hard to make her go away even though he might still love her. When he inadvertently discovers Dylan...his son, whom he never knew existed, he's angry and hurt and falls instantly in love with the boy and wants to be the father he never knew he could be.

This fast paced, fun filled read just kept me laughing and crying and loving right along with Duncan and Cairo as well as with the wonderful secondary characters, Aunt Phoebe and Graham Kincaid and of course a very friendly ghost. Ms. Berg has certainly done it again with the wit and style I've come to love. She's never disappointed me and I can't wait for her next book as she is most assuredly an auto buy author for me! If you haven't read one of Patti Bergs books, this would be a wonderful one to start with! It's fun, it's fast and it's totally absorbing and fills in a five star romance hunger!!!
