"An excellent dash across Alaska!"
Mike McNair finds out that Tessa Nielson has been
kidnapped so he goes AWOL from SDDU to rescue her. The
problem is Tessa doesn't want to be rescued by Mike.
Sure, she wants to be rescued but she and Mike go way back
and it's not all good. What Mike and Tessa don't know is that there's
something more at work here than arms dealers kidnapping
her and killing her research partner. They also don't know
who all is involved and how deep this whole situation
goes. All Mike and Tessa want to do is get out of Alaska
alive so they can find out exactly what is going on. That
however might be a problem since they are on foot and
don't really have the clothes or the shoes for it. Still
they are specially trained to handle nearly anything. It just seems strange that every time Mike makes
contact with people he feels he can trust someone turns up
trying to kill them. There must be a leak somewhere but
who and where? Can they figure it all out before it is too
late? I've been a fan of Dana Marton's book since her
very first Intrigue. I know darn good and well that I will
get an excellent and satisfying read each and every book.
I have come to expect it. I'm happy to report that this
one is no exception. Danger and intrigue abound as we
dash across Alaska in a race against time and the enemy.
Thanks, Dana, for some great books! I hope we will get
many more wonderful stories from you in the years to come!

SummarySavvy and headstrong, former special agent Tessa Nielsen
could handle whatever the Alaskan wilderness threw at her:
extreme cold, polar bears, even her arms-dealer captors. But
what she couldn't handle was being so close to the man who'd
returned to "rescue" her. Three years earlier, Mike McNair
had taken her innocence, then terminated her from Special
Forces. But his gallant reappearance made one thing
Alaska-air clearthe heat between them was still scorching.
Now, without CIA sanction, Tessa and Mike alone had to brave
frigid environs to stop a shipment of nuclear warheads from
leaving the country...using only their witsand their
warm bodiesto stay alive.
