"Steve's story! Oh My!"
Finally, finally, we get Steve's story! Steve is
the fourth Marine brother and a twin. He vows and declares
that there is no way he is going to get roped into love
and marriage like his three older brothers. He decides to visit Wanda, his Busha
(grandmother)
who knows just the girl for him. It is her next door
neighbor, librarian Chloe. Chloe's car dies on her and she
has to get to the library in a hurry for a mystery program
that they are putting on. Wanda volunteers Steve to drive
her. Chloe is dressed for the part as a dowdy secretary so
Steve thinks nothing of it until he sees her late at night
in her kitchen and notices that she is hiding under those
dowdy librarian clothes. Now Steve wants to know why! He
has already been burned badly by a woman he found out
later only wanted to get serious with him because of the
money he inherited. Chloe is just out of a relationship where her
boyfriend decides he simply cannot settle down to just one
woman and implied especially not a woman like her. Steve
is rich, good looking and a Marine. No way is Chloe going
to become the least bit interested in him but Steve has a
plan. They will pretend to become serious about each
other so Busha will stop trying to set them up. Will this
plan work or will it backfire? I thoroughly enjoyed Steve's story! I'm just
sorry that there's only one other brother left, Tom.
These were wonderful, heartwarming and down right fabulous
stories! Thank you, Cathie Linz, for the many hours of
pleasurable reading! I hope you give us many more!
