"More like can Calhoun rope in the love of his life!"
Calhoun is the cowboy of cowboys. He can ride a bull, he
can rope a horse, but can he rope in the mother of the two
children he just met? Minnie and Kenny beg him to become
a part of his mom's barrel act with her horse Gypsy. But,
Calhoun declines. However, he takes special attention to
the woman doing the riding. She's the most beautiful
woman he's ever seen, and he paints nudes! The kids bring the two together, but there are so many
complications. First off: Olivia long ago decided never
another cowboy. Her two children were the best thing to
come out of her relationship with one. Calhoun, on-the-
other-hand comes from a long line of irresistible cowboys
known to break hearts. That and he's rich as sin and has
a ranch to prove it. One thing leads to another, and Olivia's father -- the
only
parent she's known in life, has a heart problem. Can the
show go on? Despite Olivia's hesitation at her getting involved with
the Jeffersons, her father decides that love must pass the
test It's not as much catching Calhoun as it is Calhoun
catching Olivia. This is such a light-hearted love story that you can't put
down. The characters are so charming and confused at
times that you just have to say to yourself, "Get
together, already." I think Ms. Leonard did an admirable
job of presenting a story that makes you smile and makes
you wonder what's going to happen next. I'd gladly read
another one of her stories. I think she's a talented
author who writes with a whole new fresh twist on cowboy
stories. Her words are unique -- unlike many I've read
for
many years. Kudos to Ms. Calhoun. I'll be on the look-
out for the next super story!
