"Wow, what an intriguing story!"
Christy Matthews finally takes time away from her
job at a major hospital and goes to her parents' beach
house for some much needed time to herself after her
divorce. There also is a serial killer on the loose and he
seems to have it in for redheaded nurses especially those
who work at the same hospital where Christy works. One evening during a horrible storm the doorbell
rings and when Christy looks out the peephole, she sees a
battered and bruised man at the door. What should she do?
She's trained to help so against her better judgment she
opens the door and he literally falls at her feet. When the man is finally able to talk, he finds out
he cannot remember anything. He also doesn't have a bit of
identification with him. How can this be? Christy has no
choice but to let him stay until the storm lets up. There's
just something about this man that Christy inherently
trusts. Will she live to regret this decision? John Doe or JD as he asks to be called is so
frustrated with the whole situation. He knows he should be
doing something important but doesn't know what. When he
finds out a serial killer is on the loose, he decides he
has to keep Christy safe and help convince her to help him
find out who he really is. This book kept me on the edge of my chair from
start to finish. I was shocked through and through when
the villain was finally revealed. Wow, I was totally out
in left field and didn't even see it coming! Books like
this are my favorite kinds of reads. I thoroughly enjoyed
reading this one and look forward to reading more books by
Lorna Michaels!
