"Spike's story is well worth the wait!"
After reading Dana Marton's debut book SHADOW SOLDIER, I
was eagerly waiting for Spike's story. Dana assured me that
it was soon to be released and boy, was it worth waiting
for! Jack "Spike" Logan has no family and likes it that way. It
makes it easier for him to do his job with SDDU. He likes
working alone and that's why he jumped at the chance to be
assigned Rahmara but he wasn't sure he liked the reason
why. He needed to find Dr. Abigail DiMatteo only because
she vaguely knew Jamal Hareb, whose youngest brother was
suspected terrorist, El. Jafar. Spike had done some things in his life he wasn't
particularly proud of but fooling Abby was not one of them
especially when he tricked her into marrying him. Still he
was strangely drawn to this woman though he had no idea
why. Abby couldn't believe this pushy man who supposedly was a
representative of the Barnsley Foundation that gave her a
grant to help the village of Rahmara. Spike, aka Gerald
Thornton, is there supposedly to photograph Abby's work. If
only she knew the whole story, she might not be so very
happy with Gerald! This story kept me on the edge of my seat from start to
finish. I'm thoroughly hooked on Dana Marton and her
Intrigues. She's an author that I will definitely be
watching!

SummaryA member of the elite Special Designation Defense Unit,
Jack "Spike" Logan had only days to stop a bomb-wielding
terrorist, but first he had to secretly recruit an academic
lost in the sands of the Middle East. Dr. Abigail DiMatteo
was key to the mission, and Spike would do anything for his
country — even marry her to keep his cover.
Plagued by desert bandits and a scorching sexual
attraction, Spike and Abigail had more than their hearts at
stake. The bomb was still missing, its clock was ticking...
and this marriage born out of desperation had taken an
unexpectedly explosive turn for the passionate!
