REVIEW

"A fabulous debut Intrigue"

Alex Rodriguez thinks he has the hardest job in his entire career, that of bodyguard to Nicola Barrington, daughter of for former ambassador to China. There've been threats against her father's and her life so Alex has been sent to make sure she stays safe. Alex is part of the SDDU (Special Designation Defense Unit. Only a select few even know about the SDDU.

Nicola has been lusting after this extreme hunk that joined her health club a few weeks back and now she can't believe he's just thrown her into his SUV after she'd been shot at. What in the world is going on and when will she get some information?

Alex can't believe it's come to this. He takes Nicola to the planned safe house but doesn't know how safe it really is and what's going on until he has a chance to talk to his boss. His boss tells him to lay low for a while until they can get some feelers out and he will send Spike with supplies and things for Nicola. Nicola is only worried about her Tweedles, her birds who do nothing but fight.

Alex and Nicola fight their attraction for each other with every fiber of their being but nothing works. Still they know they cannot give in until they find out what's going on and Alex finishes his job as he is very conscientious about the entire bodyguard thing even though it's not what he wants to be doing. They just need to figure out who is trying to kill Nicola and why.

This intrigue was just that. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book. This debut definitely did not read like a first book. I know I eagerly look forward to Spike's story next!
