"The second book is as good as the first!"
Harry Potter always has the worst birthdays because
his Muggle family always gives him horrible gifts if
anything at all. They also are dead set against his going
to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a matter
of fact, in the summer when he has to stay with them, they
lock up all of his wizardry paraphernalia in the cupboard.
The only thing they can't lock up is Harry's white owl,
Hedwig. Harry meets a house elf named Dobby in this book,
who is bound and determined that Harry not go back to
Hogwarts. Dobby is convinced that Harry will be in danger
if he goes back but Dobby won't tell Harry anything else.
Now it's up to Harry to figure out what's going on. To do
this he enlists the help of his two best friends, Ron and
Hermoine at Hogwarts. Can they figure things out before
things go too far? I am well and truly hooked on this series. The
books only get better and more intriguing with each
succeeding book. I finished this book in about four hours
and immediately started the third book!

SummaryIn one of the most hotly anticipated sequels in memory, J.K.
Rowling takes up where she left with Harry's second year at
the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Old friends
and new torments abound, including a spirit named Moaning
Myrtle who haunts the girl's bathroom, an outrageously
conceited professor, Gilderoy Lockheart, and a mysterious
force that turns Hogwarts students to stone.
