"Rad's story and it's a good one!"
We've gotten Stryker and Ben's stories. Now it's
time for Rad's story. Rad is in a bit of trouble with the
general's teen-aged daughter, Heidi. It seems that Heidi
has decided she's in love with Rad and follows him
everywhere so he decides to get engaged but Heidi isn't
buying his story. That's when he tells her he's engaged to
Serena Anderson, a bookseller. Rad had met Serena earlier at a career day when
she
lambasted him for scaring her goddaughter, Becky with his
high handed Marine ways. For some reason, Serena impresses
Rad immensely. He still can't believe he told Heidi he was
engaged to her though. What was he thinking? Serena had to put up with her verbally abusive
Marine father so there's no way she's hooking up with a
Marine any time anywhere! Still Rad is a hunk. Then she
finds out that not only is he a hunk but he's a rich hunk
and has just bought the building where her bookstore and
her apartment are. What is he up to? When she finds out
he wants her to pretend to be his fiancé and he will split
her rent in half, she feels as if it's an offer she can't
possibly refuse. Then their deception just seems to get
them deeper and deeper into trouble especially when they
keep running into Rad's extensive family! There's not one of these Men of Honor books that I
haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Now I'm eagerly waiting for
Tom
and Steve, the twin's stories! Cathie Linz can't write
them fast enough for me!!!
