REVIEW

"Make room on your keeper shelf for this historical western!"

One fateful night, a decade earlier, changed Molly Hart's world forever. She was abducted by ruthless raiders and later stolen by Indians. Molly endured and survived a very harsh existence. Finally, free she makes her way back to her childhood home in Texas. Nothing could have prepared her for the shock of seeing the reminants of her home and three graves, one of which was hers.

Matt Ryan didn't know what to make of the woman who was at the Hart homestead. She claimed to be Molly but he had seen Molly's body, or so he had thought. He didn't want to relive those painful memories that haunted him for so long. He had always been like an older brother to her and was devastated when she had "died". For the past ten years he had thrown himself into fighing for justice, first with the Army and more recently, as a Texas Ranger.

Since Molly was alone and had no where to go Matt took her home to his parent's ranch. There, Molly started gaining information on the attack of her family. Stories were unraveling to disclose some shocking family secrets. Matt was there for Molly every step of the way. He kept telling himself that it was only to help her find closure so she could find the happiness she deserved. He didn't want to exam the feelings in his heart too closely. Matt and Molly had old demons to wrestle with, but , no matter how hard they tried to keep their distance, it was impossible. Fate took over and their long ago friendship turned into a fierce love.

These two characters went through a maze of emotional and physical pain but found healing in each others arms. The depth of this story is incredible. Twists and turns provide non-stop action and unpredicibility. The secondary characters come out in full force, with tantilizing tidbits that have you craving future books. Handsome, rugged heroes, stong heroines and a super storyline make THE WREN a keeper. Kristy McCaffrey brings forth the true nature of what it meant to live in the 1800's.
