"A heck of a ghost story!"
This book grabbed me from the very first sentence
and didn't let go. I read it in a matter of hours,
blocking out any and everything until I'd finished reading
it. Captain Sullivan Fouquet cursed his very best
friend Tyree St. James with his dying breath before he ran
him through with his sword. Tyree inadvertently shot
Sully's woman and mad with grief, Sully only wanted
revenge. Now Tyree has been a lost soul for 200 years. In
one week he will either go to heaven or hell as the time
of
his curse will be over. Then Mrs. Yates, the caretaker of Tyree's cottage,
invites Clara Fergussen to stay at Rose Cottage so she can
research her ancestor, Sullivan Forquet. Tyree just knows
he can hang on for one more week, can't he? He doesn't
count on Clara being able to see him though or thinking
he's her dream lover. Whew! Now what does he do? When Clara finds out that Tyree is a ghost, she
thinks he's delusional but she still goes along with him
so
he won't get all upset with her. She decides to see what
she can do to help him. Tyree doesn't think he needs any
help but the longer he spends time with Clara the more he
isn't sure he really wants to leave on Saturday. This story had all of the elements that I love
reading about. I enjoyed everything about it except one
thing. I'm fervently hoping that Nina Bruhns has Sully's
story in the works because I won't be satisfied until I
get 'the rest of the story'.

SummaryCould the gorgeous man she'd found in her bedroom — in her
bed, to be precise — really be who he claimed to be? The
infamous pirate Tyree St. James caught in a curse for the
last two hundred years? And after one night in his arms,
did Clara Fergussen really care?
Tyree knew better than to let a woman — even a woman like
the adventure-seeking Clara — into his heart. Hell, he'd
had two hundred years to consider the consequences. Nothing
could change the fact that he only had one week left — and
that any woman who fell for him would risk losing much more
than just her heart....
