REVIEW

"A great holiday anthology!"

Lately I've been in a mood to read anthologies and luckily I've been able to find some really superior ones to delve into. This is one of those anthologies!

The first story in this anthology is by Carly Phillips and the name of it is Midnight Angel. Dylan North, Hollywood's heartthrob has come home to the tiny town of Acton in search of his childhood sweetheart, Dr. Holly Evans. Years before, he'd broken her heart when he walked away towards the bright lights of fame and fortune. Unbeknownst to Holly, Dylan did it for her because he knew she wouldn't be happy unless she followed her family's tradition and became a doctor. Now Dylan's back to see if he can explain it to Holly and if he still has a chance with her.

Meet Me At Midnight is Janelle Denison's contribution to this anthology and tells the story of best friends since they were five years old. Shane Whitmer wants to take their relationship one step further but isn't sure how Alyssa Harte will react. He has to make up his mind quick because Alyssa's New Year's resolution is to finally get serious about one guy as she's not getting any younger. Does Shane have time to convince her that they can still be best friends and lovers too?

Mine At Midnight by Jacquie D'Allessandro shows us that opposites do attract and can make things work out. Merrie Langston was born close to Christmas and thus embraces the holiday to the fullest. As a matter of fact she's opened her own business called Perfect Parties in which she handles parties for all holiday occasions. Her accountant Tom Farrell is trying to keep her on the straight and narrow so she can get a business loan for her business. He may be staid and a bit boring but he sure is a hunk. Can Merrie convince him to lighten up and have a little fun?

There wasn't anything about this anthology I didn't like. All three stories were just magnificent. I especially enjoyed the way the stories embraced the holidays so well. Of course, my requisite happy endings played a big part in why I enjoyed these stories so much.
