Get the LIFT of Laughter! Linda Windsor writes "hystericals" at her restored late 18th century home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. By any other name, they are romantic comedies, with inspiration subtly woven around love, laughter, and a dash of suspense. Windsor swears that laughter is the best medicine, which is why she came up with the byline "Get the LIFT of Laughter." In fact, readers have written that they give Linda's books to friends who need a good laugh to lift their spirit...that is, after they've had a good dose of the merriment themselves. Windsor has written 15 historical romances as Linda Windsor and Linda Covington for Zebra/Pinnacle Books and one contemporary for the late Meteor/Kismet romance line, but in 1999 she switched to inspirational fiction with the release of her first romantic comedy, HI HONEY I'M HOME. Three Celtic historical fiction novels and seven romantic comedies later, she is focusing on her irrepressible sense of humor. That, along with a strong faith, has helped the author triumph over chemical/biological depression. Both have particularly been put to the test of late after Linda's husband of twenty-one years passed away unexpectedly over the 2004 holidays. In addition to writing, Windsor works as corporate comptroller in the family business of electric motor sales and service. Yes, she has worked out in the repair shop on motors, grease and all, as well as on computer in the office! After all, she grew up in the business her parent's started 30 years ago in an old barn shared with race horses. She can't say her degree in elementary education has exactly furthered either of her careers, unless one counts stimulating her love of books and history. Linda's most recent releases are the Moonstruck romantic comedies, a series about three siblings. PAPER MOON (Jan 05) is about CEO big brother Blaine finding love the second time around. FIESTA MOON (Jul 05) features ne'er do well Mark in his last chance to save his career. And baby sister Jeanne, the prodigy, meets the love of her life on a marine archeological expedition in BLUE MOON (Jan 06).
