Dawn McClure
(Notify me via e-mail when Dawn McClure releases a new book.) I currently live in Michigan with my wonderful hubby and two children. I joined the Navy right out of high school, which took me to Chicago, Pensacola and Italy. I lived in Italy for about three years and enjoyed my time learning the culture and meeting new people. I met my husband—a Marine who guarded the building I worked in—and we left Italy to live at Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune for a time. Settling in Michigan where he grew up is a challenge. I'm from California, so I'm not used to the winters. But I love having four seasons...if only winter didn't last quite so long! My writing career really kicked off when I joined Candace Haven's Fast Draft Workshop in November 2006. I met many writers who shared the same dream that I did. It was all the motivation I needed to finish my novel Heaven Sent. From there I wrote Asmodeus, which was contracted by Samhain in 2008. Shortly after, my novella Azazel was also contracted.
