Julie D'Arcy
![]() Julie D'Arcy was born in Bendigo, Australia 1957. Julie attended Sunshine Primary, 15 Mile Creek Primary and Ovens College, Wangaratta, Victoria. At school she enjoyed writing and often had articles published in school magazines. She attended Caulfield Institute of Technology, Victoria, where she studied Art and Design, majoring in Ceramic Art.
After leaving college she returned to Wangaratta, where she set up her own pottery business specializing in fantasy pottery, which she still runs part time. She married Frank and had two children, Errin and Tegan. She has two cats, a Siamese named Jesse and a big black paranoid furball named Midnight. Time of the Wolf , her first published novel, (Trade size Paperback) was published by ImaJinn Books, North America, Dec.1999. Recognized publisher by the Science Fiction Fantasy Writers of America and the Romance Writers of America. Time of the Wolf was nominated for the PEARL AWARD in 1999: (Paranormal Excellence Award in Romantic Literature) and won the RIO AWARD, (Dorothy Parker, Reviewers International Organization) for excellence in women's fiction, for a FANTASY novel.
Her book Time of the Wolf was short listed for the 2000 Sapphire Award and the R*BY 2000, Australian Romantic Book of the Year. |
