Kate Lyon writes romance with a hint of the paranormal -- it's what she knows. Swept off her feet in a very weird, whirlwind romance, she learned to expect the unexpected. Now she brings that element of mystique to the printed page. Although born and raised 'out west,' Kate has traveled extensively and lived in six different states and overseas, which has given her a wide perspective and plenty of writing material. Her first novel, Time's Captive—written while raising five teen-agers and working full-time—co-won the 2003 Romantic Times/Dorchester Publishing "New Voice In Romance Contest" and was a LoveSpell release in July 2004.

Kate currently lives in northern Alabama with her husband, where she enjoys way too much peace and quiet. She welcomes mail from her readers and encourages visits to her website.
