Julia Templeton
(Notify me via e-mail when Julia Templeton releases a new book.) I loved to read from a very early age, and it wasn't until I was nineteen that I discovered romance. The year was 1985, and the book was Shanna. I was addicted to historical romance from that moment on. Many years later I sat down at my computer and started writing a romance novel. Realizing I had a lot to learn, I bought research books, and studied the craft of romance writing. I joined Romance Writers of America, and attended a Romantic Times convention in 1993. I went to every workshop and absorbed every word. I met authors who were approachable and friendly. It was at that moment I decided I was going to give writing my all.
I sold contemporary romances to confession magazines, and
soon after sold my first historical romance to Kensington's
Precious Gems Historical line. Other than writing, reading,
and listening to music, I enjoy collecting research books,
traveling, and spending time with my family. I'm married to
Kip, my first and only love (who's also the cover model for
Surrender To Love). I fell in love with him at
fourteen, and
I'm happy to have spent the last twenty plus years with him.
We have two teenagers who keep us on our toes...and
constantly remind us how young we were when we had them. I
