She saw her first Kung Fu movie, Five Shaolin Masters, when she was eight. Obviously, this warped her forever. After spending seven years as a graduate student in European history, she realized that she might actually have to take a job as a professor, so she left the too-real world of academia in order to write fiction. She lives in the U.S. with her spouse and various species of fur-bearing house mammals. |
